Between the recent Pikes Peak Writers Conference and receiving the content edits for my soon to be released novel Walkabout (working title), I’ve been a bit busy. As such, I’ve been remiss about updating this site and my current projects. I hope to start remedying that situation now.
Content edits are going well. I’m lucky to be working with a tremendous editor who not only appreciates the story but who also understands what I need to do in order to make the story shine. We are halfway through the book right now. Edits have gone very well and as we raced into the ending of the book, I’m looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
I’ve also been working on my novel Runs In The Family. We’re about fifteen chapters into that story and it’s also going well. I’m looking forward to seeing where this book goes as well. I’ve also been working on a challenge coin for the book’s release. The current proof is below.
The single largest thing that I’ve incorporated into this revamped website is my email newsletter. As we get ready to launch both novels this year, and hopefully celebrate more success in short fiction, I’ll be writing once-a-month newsletters outlining where the projects currently stand. As a bonus, if you sign up for the newsletter during the month of May, you’ll receive a copy of my “All About Character” worksheet from my presentation at the Pikes Peak Writers Conference in April. This is not a spamming “buy my book” sort of thing. This summer, I’ll release a cut chapter from Runs In The Family as well as some of my original notes and scene sketches for Walkabout. I really hope you’ll join me on this journey.
Until then, it’s back to editing. This really is the fun part.
